A picture tells 100000000+++ words (Part1: Feb-April)

Here's another multi-part instalment of the previous days of our lives...
In pictures! Huzzah!
Ok, and some words. I do like to write a bit!

February 2013
In this month, Sarah started planning for her work at RMIT which included raising prayer and financial support.

We both went to Ridley's start of year Launch camp. It was a great time away.
There was even a horse!
Oh hi, horse!
I also baked a frittata (as you do).

Yummmmm

During this month, we attended a wedding of a couple of friends of ours - Sophie and Tom. They asked us to sing as part of the band - always a fun thing to do!

Here's us singing:
"Bless the Lord, oh my soul, la la la la la"

After the wedding, they had awesome drinks (spiders!) with cute stripey straws and a lolly bag. The colour scheme (pink) handily matched the pink accents in my outfit. How delightful.

Cheers!

And here's the lovely couple and their bridal party:
Just Married!

March 2013
What happened:
Sarah worked with the Christian Union at RMIT and their Orientation Week recruitment drive. It was filled with cards with lollies on them, BBQ's, gelati, pizza, all sorts of food-related activities to draw in students (and yes...it works!).
Stephen went to Adelaide for a youth camp (Trinity Hills).
We worked shifts at Video Ezy.
We celebrated Easter at our own church (St Jude's, Parkville) and spent a day with family at Belgrave (always a hit!).

The pictures:

Our friends, John and Kate, got married!

Pretty writing!

The wedding was a gorgeous outdoor affair, with nature providing a stunning backdrop.
Watching on at the ceremony.

April 2013 - THE MOST EPIC MONTH OF THE YEAR!
And then came April!

Let's go weekend by weekend, shall we?

Ok!
Weekend 1: 5-6 April.
We worked at Video Ezy and Sarah had a Friday night staff meeting.

Wait...that was less exciting than I anticipated. But don't worry...it's the calm before the storm!

Let's check out the next weekend.

Weekend 2: 12 - 14 April
KICK OFF CAMP! (and graduation)

This is the first camp of the year for RMIT CU. We had about 60 students come along - a RECORD number! And it was great fun. And Sarah organised it, and was really really tired in the two days following.

Here's some piccies!

Hey, isn't that the same horse?
Yes. That's because camp was at the same venue.
The horse was still there.

We played some games on the Friday night

Victory for the right team! Huzzah!

Sarah spoke up the front and spruiked the "foxy" CU T-shirt.

In the middle of camp, on the Saturday, Sarah had an exciting event to dash off to: Graduation!
Yes, having completed all the requirements (and passing!) of the Graduate Diploma of Divinity, it was time to don a robe, shake the principal's hand and pose for pictures.

Here's me and Stephen being all proper and stuff:

Yay! Certificate!

Here's me and Stephen being a bit silly:

So Semi-Divine, whaaaatt UP!!

After Graduation, Sarah drove back to Camp and they had a bonfire and it was very camp-like and fun. And of course, there was a guitar.

Why memorise chords when you can Google them?
Such an authentic campfire experience!

Ok! So that was Weekend 2 in April.

What about the next week?

Weekend 3: 19-21 April

On Friday night, at our place, we hosted a bunch of girls (that's not a joke) for a Girl's Night! They sprawled around the lounge room and decorated prayer journals for each other, and we enjoyed delicious food by Heather. And by "we" I mean Sarah because of course, Stephen was banished for the evening.

Getting crafty!

On Saturday morning, we arose EARLY to make our way to St Jude's Convention (held at Belgrave). A camp for the entire St Jude's church (many congregations, over 3 locations, coming together).

It was a great opportunity to test out the new tent that Stephen's parents had just bought. Sarah reckons it's a great tent because you can stand up in it. She refuses to believe that it was overkill to set it up for just 2 people for 1 night.

"Totally worth it," she comments. "And I completely stand by that statement. In fact, I stand IN it...just as I did with the tent."

"Home is where you don't hit your head on the roof"
Sarah Urmston

Surely we couldn't pack much more into April than that, could we?

Could we?

Yes. Because at the end of April, Stephen celebrated a very important milestone.

So important, that I'm gonna save it for its own post...
